A great nights entertainment, where you could be travelling on magic carpets or dockers umbrellas. True stories, nearly true stories and down right lies. Ancient and modern stories and tales of the yet to be.
Storytelling is having a massive resurgence around the world. Every month a new club seems to open. 'The Mouth' aims to combine traditional and modern storytelling, to be a platform for established storytellers from around the world and to encourage and support new talent. 'The Mouth', a not-for-profit storytelling organisation, was founded in Liverpool in 2010 by storytellers Bill Dawson and John Hughes. If you wish to tell a story then let the organisers know on the night. Occasionally there will be a main storyteller followed by stories from the floor. Some nights we will have a theme such as Love, Idiocy, Revenge or Lust. Other nights we may have story-slams, competitive storytelling. Once a year we will hold 'The Biggest Liar' competition. The Mouth of the Mersey, continues to grow. Lots of stories both true and not so true will be shared by storytellers from far and wide including locals Bill Dawson and John Hughes.
New storytellers and story listeners are always welcome. Be part of shaping 'The Mouth'..... |
